Tony Calabrese is also "Tony the Banker" on The Big Biz Show. A native San Diegan, Tony Calabrese has been performing comedy since 1995, specializing in corporate events and as a master of ceremonies and auctioneer for charity benefits.
At 50 years of age, he has been married for 29 years, in a row, and has two grown sons and three grandchildren. He talks about life, marriage, kids, grandkids, the corporate world, and the trials and tribulations of staying in top physical condition.
Tony has spent 28 years as a banker in San Diego and is currently President and CEO of Point Loma Community Bank. He was also the former President and CEO of The Combined Health Agencies of San Diego County. His humorous experiences in the business, banking and finance arena have made him a favorite speaker of businesses and service clubs across San Diego County.
In 1996, Tony founded ComedyWorks, a company that provided comedians, masters of ceremonies, and auctioneers to charity organizations for fund raising efforts. In 1997, he created a "Humor in the Workplace" seminar with curriculum designed to teach employees to be more productive by using humor to think creatively.
In 2002, with three other partners, Tony merged ComedyWorks into Comedy Incorporated and continues his fundraising and charity efforts. Comedy Incorporated's "Benefit in a Box" has been used by dozens of organizations to hold comedy night benefits. To date Comedy Incorporated emcees, auctioneers and comedy night benefits have helped local non-profits generate over two million dollars.
